I believe in the power of telling your story in order to heal, and I continue to experience this first-hand as I tell mine. Through writing, I connect with others who share similar stories, and hope to reduce stigma around topics that I believe should hold no stigma at all.
I spend my time exploring and nesting in pockets of nature, cooking good food, photographing moments, drawing cartoons, napping, laughing, surfing, listening to a bizarre selection of music, herbalism, and swimming in any pot of outdoor water I can find.
My words and illustrations can be found on Huffington Post, Films For Action, The Bristol Cable, Rebelle Society, Live Through This, The Mighty, and To Write Love On Her Arms. I have previously written and edited for Elephant Journal, Working Abroad Magazine, This Place Is Yours, Comic Relief, UK Sport, and Leeds Metropolitan University.
In Feb 2016, I founded the project, Living With Suicide. We make beautiful zines from peoples' accounts of living through a suicide attempt and/or experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings. You can buy our first zine here! It's a xtunnign collection of stories, through photos, words, and illustrations.
